Same Day Emergency Care
If you have tooth pain, gum swelling, a broken tooth, or a knocked-out tooth, call us right away. Acting quickly often improves the outcome such as limiting the spread of infection and increasing the chance of saving the tooth. We will guide you on what to do and help you get seen as soon as possible. If you have trouble breathing, heavy bleeding, or swelling that affects swallowing, go to the ER or call 911.
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is a dental procedure that removes infected or dead nerve tissue and bacteria from the pulp of a tooth, then cleans, fills and seals the inside of the tooth to save it from extraction. A CEREC crown is a custom dental crown made from ceramic in a single dental visit using computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. The process involves scanning a prepared tooth onto a computer to make a digital 3D image, using software to design a crown, and transferring the data to a milling unit that carves out a crown from a ceramic block in the dental office. A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone. After anesthetizing the patient, the tooth is loosened using an elevator, followed by dislocation and removal with a dental forceps. For complex tooth extraction, an incision is made into the gums, bone is removed, and the tooth is divided into pieces before removal of the roots entirely. Reasons why a tooth extraction may be necessary include severe tooth decay, advanced periodontal disease, impacted wisdom teeth, orthodontic treatment, fractured or damaged teeth, infection, and failed dental work.

Nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas”, is a mild sedation used during dental procedures to reduce anxiety and manage pain by inducing relaxation. The patient remains conscious and can respond to verbal commands. This is the safest form of sedation and the effects after use wear off within minutes.

An occlusal splint, or night guard is a custom fit removable appliance that fits over the upper or lower teeth. It helps prevent damage to your teeth that can be caused by grinding and clenching, which can wear down enamel and cause jaw pain. It works by creating a physical barrier that prevents the upper and lower teeth from making direct contact, which shields them from damage and reduces pressure on the jaw’s temporomandibular joint (TMJ). It can also relieve associated pain and headaches.
